Apple recommends that you do not cover your MacBook

. This is more than a fear that curious eyes may hack and watch what you do. While you probably don’t have this, covering your computer’s camera kills a small chance.

While many desktops and laptops now have built-in camera cases, MacBooks don’t. What has led people to buy webcam covers or use what they are lying down. And there is a problem. At least according to Apple.

Apple suggests not closing the MacBook

In tukimuistiinpano, Apple recommends that you do not “close the lid on the top of your MacBook, MacBook Air, or MacBook Pro”, as this may damage the screen. Instead, Apple suggests that you use the camera light to determine camera activity.

The problem with MacBooks in particular is Apple’s design sensitivity. In a support comment, the company acknowledges that “the distance between the screen and the keyboard is designed to be very tight tolerances.” Which means any catastrophe placed between two spells.
