Google AR search results are one of the coolest new things to come from Google Labs in recent months. After all, who doesn’t want a wide variety of animals to be blown into their living room by order?
Since today, Google has made augmented reality search results a little scarier by adding 23 3D insects.
How to view AR insects on Google search
To check for new insects, you must have an ARCore-enabled Android device or iOS device with iOS 11 or later. From there, you just have to look for the insect you want to see in its lifestyle.
Circuit found that a total of 23 insects have been added to the update. And here’s a complete list of 3D additions that you can now check out with augmented reality:

- Hercules beetle
- Atlas beetle
- Stag beetle
- A giant stag party
- Miyama beetle
- Brilliant ball of scarlet beetle
- Gemstone beetle
- Rosalia batesi
- Swallowtail butterfly
- Morpho butterfly
- Atlas koi
- Stable pig
- Brown pig
- Walker cicada
- Evening cicada
If you type in one of the names listed above, you will get typical results, but you will also see a button marked View in 3D. All you have to do is tap this button and you can see the insect either in your room via AR or just on a blank background.
