How to add bots to a clutter server

How to add bots to a clutter server

Here are all the steps you need to follow to add bots to your Discord server.

1. Check your permissions

You can only invite bots to servers where you have permission to do so. If you do not have a server, this means that your Discord role must have “server management” permission.

To add a bot to a server, click the name of that server. If you see Server settings in the drop-down menu you have the correct permission. If not, you will need to ask the server authority to add a robot or give your role “server management” permission.

2. Invite the bot

Next, you need to call the bot on your server. The site where you get the bot should have Call button or something similar. If we take Carl Bot as an example, a link is available in the top menu.

This will then take you to the Conflicts page. Use here Add to server from the drop-down menu to which server you want to add the bot. Click Continue.

3. Authorize the bot permissions

A screen will appear outlining all the permissions your robot needs on your server. Advanced bots need many licenses to work properly, so don’t be afraid of this. But make sure you only add reputable bots to your server. Click Authorize.

You will probably need to perform a reCAPTCHA verification to prove that you are not a bot yourself. There’s probably a joke somewhere!

When completed, the bot will connect to your server. You should see it online in the member list.

4. Adjust the role of the bot in the conflict

Most robots automatically assign themselves a new role on your server with the permissions you approved in the previous step.

Click the server name in the upper left corner and click Server settings> Roles. Indoors Roles column, you should see the bot’s new role.

Click the left button and drag the role above everyone else. This ensures that the bot can successfully manage other members of the server.

5. Configure and use Discord Bot

Now that the bot is on your server, it’s time to use it! The website from which you added the bot should have a list of bot usage.

Some advanced bots, such as MEE6 and Carl Bot, can be managed from websites. They let you manage bot properties, check audit logs, and edit everything from a centralized and user-friendly location.

However, most bots can be managed and interacted only with commands in a text chat. Often by typing ! help brings support to the bot, although it may vary.

It depends on what type of bot you have added. If you are unsure, contact the bot developer for support.

One last note: Discord bots run on their own servers. While the conflict may be online and functional, the bot may suffer an independent outage. If you find that the bot is offline, it is likely to have temporary problems or be updated.

How to remove an incompatibility bot

If the bot doesn’t do what you want or you don’t end up using it, its a good way to remove the bot from your server.

You can do this by looking at the right side of the Discord server and searching for the bot in the user list. You can with the right button bot and select Kick.

Alternatively, click the server name in the upper left corner and click Server settings> Integrations. Below Bots and applications, click Control next to the bot, and then click Remove integration.
