In this case, the sound levels are adjusted specifically for the dialog box. But if you feel it’s still too loud or too quiet, you can make advanced settings using Volume slider at the bottom of the panel.

Let’s do the same for the other two songs now. The timeline music clip (apparently) gets a Music tag. Now, it’s unlikely you’ll be able to turn off the lawnmower’s sound completely, though Repair option, you may at least reduce or dampen it.

First, select the offensive clip in your timeline. If it is a single speech, you select again Dialog box tag Essential sound panel. If it’s a man, you choose A balanced male voice tag.

Now that it’s done, you can start noise reduction Repair on the right. Click Repair tab expands the list of available options – you can see that one of these options is Reduce noiseand selecting the check box allows it.

One important handy feature you can explore in Essential Sound is to overlay your music tracks. Simply put, this allows your music to automatically lower and increase the volume alongside other timeline sounds.

This is a particularly useful feature when working with a song being played in a dialog box, as it reduces the time it takes to manually lower and raise the music volume.

Start by making sure your music clip has Music tag has been added either Smooth song Ducking or Hard song Ducking pre-selected. These dictate how abruptly the clip volume drops or rises alongside the rest of the sound.

Ducking settings let you specify which tags trigger it – the most common uses are to make it duck during a dialog box. Select the tag icons to specify what you want your voice to duck.

You can then choose how sensitive the ducking process is (Sensitivity), how much the sound should count (Number of ducks) and how fast the transitions should be (Fade). When you are satisfied, click Create keyframes.
