What is a Facebook Watch Party?
Facebook released the Watch Party feature globally in 2018. Watch Party allows people to watch videos on Facebook in sync together. This makes watching videos a shared experience.
Watch party guests can watch live or recorded videos on Facebook. You can add videos to the queue, invite friends to join, and comment in real time. This is all visible to all members of the Watch party.
Whoever hosts the Watch Party has complete control over the experience. This means that if you host and move a video forward or move to a new video, all members of the Watch party will see the same thing. It is a unified viewing experience.
