The LG Tone Free FN7 earbuds keep themselves free of bacteria and prevent outside noise.
LG released the Tone Free FN6 earlier this year, and now the company wants to build the self-cleaning features offered by the Tone Free FN7 earbuds.
They have not only cool cleaning technology but also active noise reduction, making them a highly rounded package.
LG Tone Free FN7 features
These new earbuds use the same UV-C light in the case as the previous Tone Free FN6 the previous year. That case kills the bacteria on the surface of the earphones, which is now more important than ever. This means you can wear them all day, throw them in the case and end up with a pair of clean in-ear headphones.
The FN6 provided passive noise reduction, and in every way it did an excellent job of preventing unnecessary noise from outside. However, the experience offered by active noise cancellation is nothing, and the recently announced Tone Free FN7 earbuds offer a lot of it. Each in-ear headset has three microphones that track sound waves and neutralize external sounds.
Outside of active noise reduction, LG has a patented feature called thread-fitted Vortex Ribs at the tips of the ear. These provide a tighter ear seal that further minimizes the absorption of external noise. If you find a way to hear something from the outside, you may have a superhuman hearing.
One of the most significant disadvantages of active noise reduction is the battery life, as the feature tends to absorb juice fairly quickly. LG says the Tone Free FN7 headphones get about 5 hours when the feature is on and about 7 hours off. That’s right with other real wireless in-ear headphones with active noise cancellation. Including the charging case, the in-ear headphones receive 21 hours when the power is off and 15 hours when the ANC is on.
In terms of sound, Meridian (a respected UK sound technology company) tunes in LG’s sound to ensure they produce top-notch sound. Tone Free also has an adjustable equalizer that lets you adjust the sound to your liking.
LG Tone Free FN7 Price and availability
LG did not announce the final price of the Tone Free FN7; however, the company revealed that they will be launched first in South Korea. From there, the earbuds are set to arrive in North America, Europe and Asia later this year. We have to wait for them to arrive around the world, but these look like a couple of real wireless in-ear headphones worth keeping on your radar.
