OnePlus continues to move towards a smartphone maker.
OnePlus has been pretty busy lately. Soon after the attempt officially released the OnePlus 8T, it has now unveiled two new budget-friendly smartphones in its Nord line.
The company took over Twitter reveals both OnePlus Nord N10 and OnePlus Nord N100.
What are OnePlus Nord N10 and Nord N100?
Both phones are aimed at budget-conscious smartphone buyers. However, the Nord N10 belongs in a rather confusing place, as its £ 329 / € 329 (about $ 429) price tag makes it only slightly more expensive than the OnePlus Nord, which is better than the new OnePlus Nord N10 in every way. Anyone who wants to grab a mid-range phone would be much better off spending an extra £ 50 to get Nord.
Still, the OnePlus Nord N10 includes enough decent specifications for the price. It features a 6.49-inch IPS LCD with a fast 90 Hz refresh rate, a fairly simple Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 processor, 6GB of RAM and four rear cameras. It has 128GB of internal storage and is in Midnight Ice color. The phone has support for 5G, which is nice to get at a relatively low price level.
The Nord N100 is a phone that makes a lot more sense for a business because it’s the first really cheap device for a OnePlus device. It comes with a £ 179 / € 179 (about $ 233) price tag, making it a true entry-level device. OnePlus has typically been the first flagship company, but it has recently moved towards mid-range devices. Now this puts the company directly in the entry level area.
According to specifications, the OnePlus Nord N100 has a 6.52-inch IPS LCD with a slower refresh rate. The show features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 processor and 4GB of RAM. It only has 64GB of internal storage, but that is to be expected for a phone with such a low price point. And while there’s no fast charging, the OnePlus included a large 5,000 mAh battery. There is also a triple lens camera on the back and an 8MP basic camera on the front. The color of the phone is Midnight Frost.
Where do new OnePlus phones start?
OnePlus confirmed that the new Nord devices will be launched in the UK, Europe and North America. Hearing that phones are coming to the shores of North America makes the existence of the Nord N10 make sense, as the original OnePlus Nord never got to the mainland.
For all regions, OnePlus didn’t yet provide concrete information on release dates, so we’ll have to wait and see when we can really get our hands on these low-cost smartphones.
