YouTube now lets you set a reminder to go to bed. As you might have guessed, sleep reminders remind you when it’s time to stop watching YouTube videos and go to sleep. Which is perfect for people who want to watch YouTube videos early.
How to set a bedtime reminder on YouTube
As in detail YouTube Help, you can set bedtime reminders on YouTube using your mobile device. This is the latest addition to YouTube’s feature suite designed to help you maintain your digital well-being. To set a sleep time reminder for Android or iOS:
- Open the YouTube app.
- Sign in to YouTube.
- Open Settings.
- Scroll to “Remind me when it’s time to sleep” and turn it on.
- Select the start and end time for the sleep time reminder.
You can also set a sleep time reminder by clicking on your profile picture and then “Watched Time”. Here you will also find other tools for managing your YouTube time, including the ability to play videos automatically and turn off sounds and vibrations.

If you do not want the video you are watching to be paused, select “Wait until I finish my video before the reminder appears” during the installation. You can also snooze the reminder, which starts playing the video until the reminder comes back in 10 minutes.
